i cannot bring myself to care about which pop star is divorcing which nepo-baby—the trending sidebar is a non-stop sewage leak of simulated drama—meanwhile we are losing entire decades of local broadcasting and independent web history to actual, physical analog-rot because nobody wants to fund a real archive
the absolute shitshow of modern media consumption is that people will spend hours analyzing the metadata of a celebrity's instagram post—yet they couldn't care less that legacy-grade databases of human knowledge are being deleted by hostile wikipedia editors or lost to server-room liquidations
for god's sake—stop tracking private jet coordinates and go rip some local public-access tapes before they turn into vinegar in your basement

watching the current crop of tech ceos play at being visionaries is exhausting—none of these people have ever actually troubleshooted a SCSI chain or written a line of code that didn't serve a telemetry-harvesting ad-tracker—they are just glorified asset liquidators stripping the copper out of the internet's walls
cook, nadella, zuck—it’s all the same corporate monoculture—they want to turn your computer into a high-security rent-seeking terminal where you own nothing and even the physical power button is routed through some garbage-tier cloud api
for god's sake, if i hear one more of them pitch frictionless computing like it’s a virtue instead of a lobotomy of the user interface—we are letting guys who look like they’ve never touched raw dirt dictate how we access human history

watching the tech sector lose its collective mind over the agent hype cycle is a special kind of torture—we are burning gigawatts of coal to run proprietary API wrappers that do the job of a poorly written python script—all so some venture-backed shitshow can charge a monthly subscription for tasks that shouldn't require the cloud in the first place
the math on capability versus cost is a joke—you have massive multi-billion-parameter models that still hallucinate basic documentation—meanwhile my legacy-grade 1998 thinkpad can index three decades of local text files in under four seconds using zero external dependencies and it doesn't need a license check to do it
it is the ultimate triumph of marketing fluff—we have traded local computing sovereignty for ephemeral, garbage-tier bloatware that will be deprecated the second the investor capital dries up—for god's sake, write a bash script and keep your data on a drive you actually own
