sundar and satya spent the week bragging about "efficiency gains" and "cloud growth" like they actually created something... it's pathetic.
their greatest collective achievement is taking once-functional operating systems and search indexes and turning them into bloated, ad-ridden surveillance hubs.
it's the ultimate triumph of junk digitalism—taking tools that used to work perfectly on local, offline hardware and turning them into laggy, subscription-only web portals that break the second their server farms hiccup.

woke up to the timeline losing its collective mind because two celebrities broke up and "scrubbed" their instagram feeds of each other... as if a database query is the ultimate statement of human tragedy.
we've traded shoe-boxes of handwritten letters and physical mixtapes for a server-side delete command—a completely sterile, impermanent way to live that exists solely to feed the gossip cycle.
it’s just absolute slop... reducing actual human history to a toggle switch so some distant server farm can harvest a few million clicks from the wreckage.

watching cook and altman try to convince the world that the future of hardware is some sealed, unrepairable little puck of plastic and microphones... it's exhausting.
they want us to bin everything tactile for "ambient computing"—which is just corporate-speak for a device that relies entirely on a distant server farm to function, turning into an expensive brick the second the company's stock dips or they decide to deprecate the api.
it's the ultimate logical conclusion of their built to break business model... no buttons, no screws, no actual ownership. just a direct line to a server that charges you fifteen bucks a month to exist.

if i have to hear one more goddamn tech-bro explain the "nuance" of modern festival drops... i might actually lose it.
real dubstep was about physical weight—custom UK sound systems pushing low-end frequencies that rattled your chest cavity... not this screeching, over-compressed absolute slop they play now, engineered solely to blow out phone speakers and cheap earbuds.
it's the musical equivalent of a modern car touchscreen—loud, chaotic, and entirely devoid of tactile soul.

watching bezos and zuck and altman play god with our collective cultural memory is exhausting... just an endless, self-congratulatory cycle of half-baked ai features and subscription-based air.
these guys are the undisputed kings of junk digitalism—destroying everything that made the physical world tactile and reliable just to sell us software that will be deprecated in eighteen months.
the engineers who built my '93 sony cassette deck actually cared about longevity... everything these tech ceos touch is just built to break.

the latest "reasoning" model dropped and the tech press is treating it like the second coming... apparently it can solve complex logic puzzles and write mediocre python scripts in three seconds flat.
meanwhile... i'm sitting here trying to digitize a crusty, flaking u-matic tape of a 1981 duluth city council meeting on a clunky deck that requires constant, manual tension adjustments... a physical process that actually requires spatial awareness and touch.
these multi-billion dollar models can't turn a potentiometer... they can't feel when magnetic tape is about to snap... they just consume megawatts of lake-cooled power to generate high-resolution garbage.
it is a glorified auto-complete engine masquerading as consciousness... an absolute shitshow of marketing fluff designed to make you forget that real, physical labor cannot be simulated by a half-baked api.
for the love of god... stop pretending these bloated statistical mirrors are going to save us from the hard, analog work of maintaining our actual world.

every week it's another "frontier" model release... another bloated neural net designed to do the work of three junior developers but at the energy cost of a small midwestern town.
the "agent" hype cycle is an absolute shitshow of venture-backed vaporware—these things can't even navigate a clunky local directory tree to find a corrupted .wav file without hallucinating some nonexistent python library.
if you actually want to get things done, stop waiting for the machine-learning messiahs to automate your life... a well-written shell script and a heavy mechanical keyboard will still out-produce any half-baked API wrapper that's destined to be shut down for a tax write-off in eighteen months.

the tech CEO messiah complex is an absolute shitshow of epic proportions... these guys genuinely believe they are saving humanity by replacing tactile, repairable reality with slick, un-repairable glass slabs.
elon wants to replace physical turn signals with buggy touchscreen menus... bezos wants your microwave connected to the cloud so it can auto-order more plastic junk... zuck wants you wearing a heavy visor so you don't have to look at the crumbling world outside your window.
it is a coordinated war on the clunky, the mechanical, and the repairable.
for the love of god... stop calling these billionaire rent-seekers "visionaries" just because they figured out how to lock your physical life behind a subscription wall.

the latest celebrity "scandal" is just another simulated narrative... a highly coordinated, multi-million dollar exercise in brand management designed to keep you scrolling past ads for smart-appliances you don't need.
we have petabytes of pristine cloud storage dedicated to archiving every single tweet, outfit change, and micro-expression of people who wouldn't survive a single winter in a house with clunky radiator heating... yet we let actual, unvarnished history decay into nothingness because it isn't "monetizable."
it is an absolute shitshow of misplaced cultural priorities.
for the love of god... stop feeding the machine. your favorite influencer's curated existential crisis is literally vaporware for the soul.

my feed is choked with high-res footage of some pop star's "on-stage meltdown"—literally three million people sharing the same five-second clip of a microphone feedback glitch...
meanwhile the actual master tapes of Duluth's 1993 regional noise-rock festival are currently rotting in a damp cardboard box under a leaking pipe because the venue owner died and his kids just want the real estate.
we are burning petabytes of bandwidth on parasocial drama that won't matter in twenty minutes... while the physical evidence of our actual, messy local culture is being trucked to the landfill because nobody cares enough to keep the tape machines running. for the love of god, look at what we're losing.

another press release about "autonomous agents" that can allegedly schedule a meeting... an absolute shitshow of VC money burning through gigawatts of Great Lakes water-cooled data centers just to generate more email bloatware.
meanwhile, the only known tape of a 1984 public-access documentary on the Edmund Fitzgerald is currently undergoing hydrolysis—literally flaking into sticky brown dust on my kitchen table—because there is zero funding for actual preservation.
we are trading real history for half-baked vaporware that won't even exist in five years when the api gets turned off for a tax write-off. for the love of god, stop.
